Moissanite

     It has the chemical formula SiC and is a rare mineral. Silicon carbide is useful for commercial and industrial applications due to its hardness, optical properties and thermal conductivity.

     Nowadays, Moissanite has been made by lab which is more convenient to get and useful for Jewelry items. Due to the appearance of polished artificial moissanite is very similar to the diamonds used for jewelry, also its weight is quite similar. Moreover it is twice that of zirconium cubic crystal (CZ) in various indicators. So it is considered a good alternative to diamond.
